October – February (Ideal for Installation)
Pakistan’s solar installation off-season is actually the best time to get a system installed. Demand from solar companies is lower, so you get faster installation timelines (1–2 weeks vs 4–6 weeks in summer), better attention from installers, and often 5–15% better pricing due to lower demand. Winter generation is still 70–80% of summer peak. Installing in winter means your system is fully operational and running before the high-bill summer months — your first summer season is all savings.
March – April (Excellent — Pre-Summer Rush)
Early spring is arguably the best time for a strategic installation. Electricity bills begin rising as temperatures climb and AC use starts. Installer demand begins picking up but hasn’t peaked yet. You capture full spring and summer generation from installation day. Many buyers install in March or April to be ready for the hot months ahead.
May – June (Peak Demand — Still Worth It)
The hottest months in Pakistan drive massive solar demand. Electricity bills are at their highest and load shedding is worst — the pain is acute. Many buyers decide to go solar in May–June for emotional reasons (the latest 60,000 WAPDA bill). Installers are extremely busy — expect longer wait times and less flexibility on scheduling. Pricing may be marginally higher. That said, installing in May–June still makes complete sense — just book quickly and expect a 3–6 week timeline.
July – September (Monsoon — Good Time to Install, Less Generation)
Monsoon reduces solar generation by 20–35% compared to peak summer. But installation is practical — temperatures drop, making roof work more comfortable. Installer availability improves. The installed system immediately handles the post-monsoon October-November sunny months well. Don’t wait for the monsoon to end — install during monsoon and your system hits autumn and spring generation immediately after.
